Volunteers Needed

Make a Difference for Animals in Our Community

Laurens County Humane Society is looking for compassionate volunteers to help give animals looking for a forever home a second chance at life.

Volunteering is a great way to help animals in need, and it’s more rewarding than you might expect. Every day, dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens come through our doors needing care, comfort, and confidence. Any time you have to spare- 30 minutes to an hour, or more- will help. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or a few hours a month, there’s a place for you here. We can’t do it without volunteers like you.

Ways You Can Help

  • Socialize dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens
  • Grooming dogs, puppies, cats and kittens
  • Walk dogs and puppies
  • Help with training dogs and puppies
  • Plan or help with fundraising
  • Transporting pets to events
  • Sit with a scared or shy animal; sometimes the most important job is simply keeping an animal company and helping them build the confidence to trust people again

Who Can Volunteer

  • Volunteers must be 15 years old
  • Volunteers under 15 must have a parent stay with them during their shift
  • No experience necessary — we’ll show you the ropes
